Pia was a postdoctoral researcher in the SDIM research group. She received her doctorate in Aalto University, School of Science in 2016. She has experience in consultancy, program, project, service and product management as well as product and service development in international companies mainly in telecommunication and metal industries.

Pia’s research interests span from possibility-driven design to local and global communities. Her research has been published in The Design Journal, Journal of Design, Business and Society and Theoretical Issues in Ergonomics Science.
